Happy Holidays from the VFW, Department of California! While 2020 celebrations may look different than years past, we have much to be thankful for. As you prepare to ring in the new year, I encourage you to take a moment to remember our nation’s veterans. Reach out to a veteran or military family member you may know and extend warm wishes for their sacrifices. Being a Veteran. I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of my several hundred friends, that less than 25 will take the time to put this on their wall. You just have to copy it from my wall and paste it to yours. Then type done on my wall. I've done this for a friend to spread Awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We lose 22 Veterans a day. More needs to be done to help Veterans in need. SUPPORT YOUR VETS!

VFW Post 1555 in Chico is responding to Veterans affected by the Camp Fire as we can. We have been part of the coordinating efforts on the part of Veterans Organizations in the area. Please pray for all those who have lost their homes, pets or loved ones!

I’m looking forward to VFW Bingo tomorrow night, Feb 10th, because of all the folks that play with us. If you haven’t played Bingo in a while, consider playing with us. You might even win!!

Our Bingo on January 13th saw an increased number of players. We had a "Hot Ball" winner who was presented with a crisp new "Benjamin" by our "Bingo Boss" - Hans. All proceeds from Bingo go to help Veterans in our local community. VFW Post & Auxiliary Bingo is played at the Chico Veterans Hall at 554 Rio Lindo Avenue on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month. Our next Bingo will be January 27th. Doors open at 4:00pm and Bingo starts at 5:30. Remember - more players equals bigger payouts! Hope to see you there. PS - We have hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, etc. for sale at our canteen.
