Hello all My name is Todd the new owner of velocity pizza. We have made some dramatic changes to the menu . Rolled out a new dough . Changing the overall thickness to a medium instead of a thin crust . The dough that started Velocity pizza had a great taste but would not hold the toppings of our new line of pizzas. We have added many topping choices and many new specialty pizzas to our menu . We will be expanding our hours and menu soon. We are working hard to bring a gluten free crust back to our menu and a second dough that has the classic sour dough flavor of the dough that started Velocity pizza.

Super Bowl Etiquette: 1) Bring Food, 2) Show your spirit, 3) Good Sportsmanship, 4) Bring food. Velocity Pizza will open at 1:30 on Super Bowl Sunday, cooking fresh wings, pizzas and salads for the party.

The Cherry Bomb is back by popular demand. Marinated cherry tomatoes, feta, arugula, drizzled with honey over a thin layer of mozzarella. The colorful tomatoes are grown locally at our favorite farm :)

Our Farro, Kale & Cannellini Bean salad is made from locally grown organic kale, which is delicious this time of year. Farro is a little known ancient grain that is both tasty and healthy. It has more fiber and protein than other grains and the carbs break down slowly, keeping your energy level stable. The house-made Golden Balsamic Dressing & Croutons bring this zesty salad together.

There are more cherry tomatoes at the farm, so the Cherry Bomb is back! Marinated cherry tomatoes, feta, arugula, drizzled with honey over a thin layer of mozzarella. The colorful tomatoes are grown locally on the biodynamic farm (think organic ++) at the Sacramento Waldorf School.

Our Ice Cream sandwich just got bigger. The house-made chocolate chip cookies are chewy in the middle and crisp on the edges. Ginger is the strongest ginger cookie on an ice cream sandwich that you'll find. Both with natural vanilla ice cream.

Here are potato salad tips from a great chef for 4th of July. We know the 4th is a back-yard, with the family, barbecue kind of holiday. Velocity will be close to let our staff do the same. Have a safe, happy 4th.

Stay cool & use our oven instead of yours. Our Bakers Pride is the classic New York pizza oven. At Velocity, we run it hot! It takes about 2 hours to warm the massive stones to over 650 degrees.
