After a year of rehab, patience, and recovery from a torn rotator cuff, I'm finally back to benching some serious weight. Never thought I'd be able to barbell bench press heavy weight again, but I always say, "Water cuts through rock not from it's power, but it's persistence". Pyramid Sets from 205lbs up to 275lbs 2x.
Stability Ball 1-arm Dumbbell Chest Press. This exercise recruits & engages multiple muscle systems due to the unilateral movement and the ball's lack of stability. I found this exercise extremely effective when returning from a shoulder injury since my scapulae don't like being pinned down against a bench during chest press movements, and it targets my core for stabilization even if the weight is lighter than it typically would be during a bilateral chest press. #COREdioFitness #NoExcuses #SilverbackClawson #IronPlayground
