(Bio) - Anthony Wilson is known as an inventive soloi...st and sensitive accompanist, and has been a core member of Diana Krall’s quartet since 2001. Over the past two decades, Wilson has joined a diverse roster of jazz masters on their recordings and performances, including Ron Carter, Mose Allison, Bobby Hutcherson, Madeleine Peyroux, Joe Sample, Al Jarreau, and Harold Land. And while his footing is firmly rooted in the jazz idiom, Wilson pivots with ease into other genres, having contributed his instrumental texture and improvisational authority to albums by pop music legends Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Leon Russell, Aaron Neville, and Barbra Streisand. this has been a hard week for us, for our community and most of all for the family of our dear, sweet customer & friend larry who passed away this week after a car speeding down santa fe hit him on his morning walk. larry was perhaps our most loyal customer, coming everyday often multiple times a day. he was the kindest soul, always inquisitive but never imposing, a heartfelt listener and a never ending source of quips. this was a picture of larry and our beloved cashier sabr...ina after he checked out with her at the register, and then told her the flowers he had just purchased were for her. it was her last day with us, and a sweet parting gift from larry. that was the kind of guy larry was. we keep having visions of him in the store carefully assessing what flowers to buy his darling anna marie for mother’s day. he’s the one who came up with our tag line a market rooted in community. it’s in the spirit of community that we write this now and implore everyone to SLOW DOWN. people live here, people walk here. and if you are a pedestrian, please please use extreme caution. we’ve heard another person was killed this week just blocks away after a hit & run. our hearts ache. rip dear larry. we miss you.
