Couldn’t be more excited that the day is finally here that @topshelfdisco officially becomes a RECORD LABEL This all started 2 years ago as a passion project for a couple of us. We really didn’t have any direction at this time, just a burning passion for music that we needed an outlet for. Fast forward to now and we’ve gone from weekend party brigade to full fledged record label looking to leave our mark on the LA music scene. I’m so fortunate that on this journey life has... placed the most amazing group of people in my circle and I couldn’t be more thankful to be surrounded by the top shelf family that I have I always love to share my full thoughts and feelings during these pivotal moments in our journey. Throwback to much happier times It’s becoming more and more evident to me recently how much isolation is affecting my mental health. I’ve always been someone that has charged off people’s energy and without people I just simply feel depleted. These days are a reminder of how important our friends and family are and how we can never take time together for granted. I’m reflecting on all the times I skipped out on something because maybe I was tired or it was out of my comfort... zone and now I’m realizing that I missed out on an opportunity. This year just goes to show that we need to be taking more of those opportunities because HOLY SHIT life is crazy and we may never get those chances again. So send it don’t pretend it baby. Take those crazy trips, go to festivals, set aside weekends where you and all your friends leave your crazy lives at home and take the time to just be with one another. These past couple years I have been in a major transitional phase as a huge chapter came to a close and I have been reflecting on what it has meant to me as well as where it will take me. For as long as I can remember I had only had one dream, a dream that fueled my fire and provided me the drive to chase after it every single day. When that ended for me I had felt lost for a while, shuffling around, self internalizing, and trying to understand what my purpose was now. I fi...nally found refuge in music. I spent a lot of time still going through long periods of self doubt asking my self is this really possible? I’m at a point now in my life where I’ve realized the biggest obstacles in my way are the ones that I put on myself. I’m done trying to live my life for someone else or live a life that’s constructed by someone else’s expectations. I have become so clear on what it is I want out of this life, the way I want to live, have discovered the truest version of myself, and at the end of the day I have something that truly make me happy. I have chosen to launch this new music project, Twinflame, because I want to create and represent something much larger than myself. To put it simply a Twinflame is your mirror soul. Once you reach a certain level of consciousness, your soul splits into two. Basically this means at this point that you are wandering until you meet your other half and when your paths cross that then you will become whole again and reach a level of ascension together. That is the relationship I look to build with people thru my musical journey. This is the relationship I have with my Twinflame. Since we met, our lives have become intertwined and we’ve ascended on a path filled with love, growth, and passion.
