10/13 Meeting: Our guest speaker will be Brad Boyd sharing "Building Blocks for Pandemic Success: Moving Clubs Forward in an Age of Uncertainty." Brad has served nearly six years as Central USA Area Director for Kiwanis International, advising current volunteer leaders, training future ones, facilitating strategic planning and promoting membership initiatives. In addition to coaching current clubs to become stronger and more relevant, he has actively participated in opening n...early 40 new Kiwanis clubs throughout North America. This follows almost four years as Executive Director for the Kiwanis Foundation of Indianapolis, where he helped garner nearly $1 million in financial support, heightened club awareness in the community and worked with others to add nearly 100 new members and experience their first net-positive membership growth in two decades. A former Key Club and CKI member, Brad is currently serving the Indiana District as Indy Metro Lieutenant Governor. After four years as a member of the downtown club, Brad helped launch the district’s first 3-2-1 club, the Kiwanis Club of Indy It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere (our official name). 10/06 Meeting: Our speaker will be Jenae Green from C-SPAN Networks. We'll learn more about the non-profit public affairs network. Attendees will learn how C-SPAN programming provides a window into Washington, giving them access to leaders, elected officials, and policy makers as they deal with various issues facing our nation from the coronavirus pandemic to the volatile economy, as well as the upcoming presidential election. They will also share how C-SPAN's nonpartisan, ...non-biased mission shapes how they cover the American political process, and the many ways our TV, online, and radio resources can help our members stay informed about the federal government. They believe that their unfiltered way of covering events is quite unique in today’s media landscape, allowing us to make up our own mind! Key Leader teaches service leadership and social-emotional skills essential for students to become values-driven leaders. Based on Robert Greenleaf's "servant leadership" model, and delivered to more than 33,000 students around the world since 2005, Key Leader is an essential program to break down the isolation students face in the era of smartphones. 09/15 Virtual Meeting: Our meeting speaker will be Lady Hawk, Public Relations Officer for the California Chapters of Bikers Against Child Abuse International. BACA is an international non-profit organization that exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. Drive Thru Festival Fundraiser for the Basque Cultural Center. Enjoy the food of the Jaialdia in a safe way.
