Today troop 1855 provided service for our charter organization- Journey Presbyterian Church. We did our best to keep the cohorts separate so they were in variously areas of the campus. We can see the EDGE method in full display - a couple of our older scouts learned a valuable life skills - how to use a string trimmer and mower. Well done scouts and parents. You made a big difference today.

Thank you for your generosity Folsom! Multiple troops and packs were out collection donations in our communities. Twin Lakes Food Bank was the recipient of these donations. They were very happy to receive thousands of items donated between the various collection areas. I do not have a total for all of Folsom but our area of Briggs Ranch and section of willow creek donated almost 1500 items of food. The food bank had over 12 shopping carts filled with donations. Well done!

If your home falls within the map, then BSA Troop 1855 will be collecting trees in your neighborhood for tree recycling. Put your Christmas Tree in the street by the curb by 8 a.m. Saturday, January 9th. The Scouts will take it to be recycled into wood chips for the City’s parks and landscaping. This year, a special emphasis is being laced on safe, contactless pickup and donations with scouts wearing gloves and masks and working with their family group only. The suggested do...nation is $15 per tree but is not required. We do this as a community and environmental service. Please make checks to ‘Boy Scout Troop 1855’ and attach them to your tree. Cash is accepted. For a safe online option, visit https://www.PayPal.me/boyscouttroop1855 and attach a note to the tree so we know you donated online. Your donation helps each scout enjoy exciting activities that develop character and leadership even in these difficult times. To be linked directly to our PayPal page, point your phone camera at the QR code below and select the link that pops up.
