Yay! Finally twins today!!!

My 4 spring lambs did well at So Cal Fair (Perris) today! The kids were happy, look at those faces. That is why I do this! Thanks Marlisa Nordstrom for using my sheep again this year. Looks like you have a great set of kids to work with at your new school!!! Congrats to all!

We discovered an easy urine test for pregnancy testing in sheep. Get the sheep to pee into a cup( hold your hand over their nose and mouth and they will squat and pee from the stress). Use 1.5 cc into the vial and if it changes color after 10 minutes, they are pregnant. It can be used on lots of kinds of livestock and was pretty cheap. We bought the 10 vial pack for $30 plus $10 for shipping. Now we know our 2 fat ewes were just pregnant and can put them out with the ram and not lose a year of feeding them. Good to have around if in question about your livestock.
