Just like we might use a FitBit or Apple Watch to track our movement and exercise, our cows have SCR Cow Collars that monitor their movement! Last week, Moonshine Dairy was very excited to welcome the Newman Rotary Club for a dairy tour! They were able to see all of our facilities and learn a little bit more about the dairy industry! Moonshine Dairy’s girls enjoy a Double-30 Herringbone Milk Barn! Our cows are milked three times a day, every day, meaning we don’t take holidays! Each trip to the milk barn takes about forty-five minutes, meaning our girls only work a little over two hours a day! #californiadairies #realcaliforniadairies #drinkrealmilk #cows

Chopping is in full swing here at Moonshine and we are very excited for our corn harvest this year! Moonshine Dairy practices a two-crop rotation on our farming ground with corn growing in the summer and wheat in the winter! With this rotation, we are able to produce about 50% of the feed for our girls! #californiadairies #realcaliforniadairies #drinkrealmilk #farming
