STUFFED SANDWICH IS OPEN FOR PATIO DINING AND TAKE OUT! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Thank you for all your support last week. It was amazing to see... so many of you that I have not seen in a long time. Thank you to all of my regulars that come out. I truly appreciate everyone's help and concern in keeping the Stuffed Sandwich open. I am going to do my best to keep it open for now. There are rumors that patio dining may be closed.??? Thank you to those that went above and beyond and made special purchases to help keep Stuffed Sandwich open. Thank you to the homebrew club members that came out Saturday afternoon. It was so nice to see you again. Thank you for all your lovely emails letting me know that you are thinking of me. I understand that some of you are not ready to go out yet, I look forward to seeing you when you feel safe enough to start going out again. Originally Governor Newsom was going to re-evaluate opening dine in for restaurants after three weeks; as of yesterday (two weeks in) it is now indefinite. Let's hope that everyone stays safe and that the numbers that he is looking at goes down. Some of you have mention/suggested a Go Fund Me account. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. This is not the Stuffed Sandwich way. (Sam would haunt me if I just took money from you). The best way is to come in, see me and make a purchase to help keep the shop open. Most of you have heard the latest news from our Governor concerning the closure or dine-in restaurants and bars. All dine-in restaurants are again closed for at least three weeks maybe longer.... After being closed for three months and reopen for only two and a half weeks this is just devastating for me. As of right now I am planning to keep the outdoor patio open for dine-in. I will also be serving food and beer for take out. At the end of next week I will have to determine if it is feasible to stay open or not. County Public Health Department has given the okay for restaurants to have dine-in! I have contacted my employees and they will be coming in... next week to help me clean, cook and get the shop ready to reopen. There are requirements from the State of California and the LA County Health Dept that must be met before we can reopen. I want the Stuffed Sandwich to be a safe place for my employees and all my customers and friends. We will be working hard and fast next week. If all goes well hopefully we can be open by next weekend. If not, by the following week for sure. Please note that we will only be able to have 60% capacity in both the dining room and the patio for the time being. And at this time I am not allowed to let you bring in your own glassware, mugs, or drinking vessels. I appreciate your understanding and patience. I look forward to seeing all of you again very soon. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that we here in California, the United States or around the world would we have to go through what we are experiencing this year. I do hope you, your family and friends are... staying well and hopeful. For those of you that have been following what our Governor has to say every day dine-in restaurants are in phase 3 section of reopening up businesses throughout the state. Apparently there is going to be new rules and regulations for all of us follow. I am waiting to see what they will be so that I can conform to them and get the shop ready to re-open. I look forward to seeing all of you and to serve you some tasty sandwiches, salads, drinks, beers and all. Until this happy day occurs please take care, be safe and stay healthy. I would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to all the doctors, nurses, first responders, grocery clerks and everyone working to keep us healthy, fed and safe. It was a very hard decision to make to close the shop but I know it... was the right one. I wanted to ensure that my employees, myself and you my friends and customers were staying safe. I am sorry to say that the shop is still closed. Our governor has extended the deadline to keep dine in restaurants closed from April 19 to April 30,2020. There is a good chance that this deadline will also be extended. My plans are to reopen as soon as I can but not before it is safe enough to do and that I have been given the okay from the State of California. When this coronavirus outbreak is over all small businesses will need all the help and support we can give them to help them get back on their feet (myself included). The Stuffed Sandwich will be closed for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak. I received this announcement from the California Restaurant Association that I belong to: About an hour ago, Gov. Gavin Newsom directed all California restaurants to close their dining rooms. For the time being, your restaurant regardless of where in California it is located can only serve meals for takeout, delivery, or through your drive-thru window. ... I appreciate your understanding during these trying times. I take the health and safety of my employees and you my friends and patrons extremely seriously. As soon as the State of California and/or the Federal government deems it safe I will re-open. I look forward to seeing all of you very soon. Until then please be safe and stay well. Marlene

This Saturday night I have a very special beer event! North Coast Brewing Company has been around for 32 years. In 2000 they started brewing their North Coast Old Stock Ale. If you are a fan of Imperial Stouts this special event is for you! Once a year Epic Brewing releases their Big Bad Baptist series. These are Imperial Stouts with different flavors. I will be serving nine different ones - eight are barrel aged with... different flavors and all are brewed with coffee. I am happy to announce that Ben Al-Imam, the So. Cal.
