Digestion is how we break down food and absorb nutrients, the way we interact with the world through the food we eat. If we are not breaking down our food, we are limiting absorption. Many of us have taken antibiotics as children, and that has long term effects We need to talk about this because Colorectal cancer is increasing, not just in aging populations but in younger adults... under 40. Many researchers say that lifestyle is the main thing to blame. Diets poor in fiber and chronic inflammation or Type 2 Diabetes have been found out I increase risk, according to a recent @nytimes article. Mugwort increases the dream state, and is a beautiful herb smoked. If you drink mugwort tea, or use the tincture, be cautious, it’s bitter and an emmenagogue (can increase bleeding for uterine carriers) - not safe while pregnant....
