We at Therapeutic Pathways join the Autism community in mourning the tragic loss of Feda Almaliti and her 15-year-old son, Muhammed. Feda was a tireless and fierce advocate for her son and all individuals with autism. Her larger-than-life presence in the autism community and participation in professional organizations will be deeply missed. She served as vice president of the National Council on Severe Autism, vice president of the Autism Society of San Francisco Bay Area, and on the board of the Mental Health and Autism Insurance Project. Thank you, Feda, for your endless dedication to making the future brighter for so many children and families. You are missed already.

Patricia Krantz, PhD. In 1975, Dr. Pat Krantz established and led one of the first intervention programs for individuals with autism: PCDI. Today, PCDI continues to provide state-of-the-art, lifespan services. Pat and, co-founder, Lynn McClannahan contributed important research on the use of stimulus control procedures to increase spontaneous generative la...nguage in children with autism. She is perhaps best known for her work on the use of Activity Schedules to promote independence and engagement. . . . . . Jose Martinez-Diaz, PhD. Dr. Martinez-Diaz was the founder and head of Florida Tech’s School of Behavior Analysis. He also served on the boards of the BACB and APBA. Jose’s own words best reflect his deep commitment to the field and to mentoring new generations of BCaBAs and BCBAs, My mission is to train behavior analysis practitioners and the next generation of behavior analysis faculty and scientists. I want the world to adopt behavior analysis as the best way to solve human problems that involve behavior (and most human problems involve behavior!)." See more
