It’s the last day of #SeizureActionPlanAwarenessWeek. #SAPAW2021 WHO needs a Seizure Action Plan? All adults and children with epilepsy need a Seizure Action Plan (SAP) especially those with new-onset epilepsy and those with ongoing frequent seizures who had more than one seizure in the previous year. Everyone diagnosed with SLC13A5 Epilepsy should have a SAP. ... WHY do you need a Seizure Action Plan? Your SAP will tell people how to help keep you safe during your seizure and tell you what to do during a seizure emergency. SAPs increase knowledge and confidence around living with seizures. This is especially important for kids with SLC13A5 Epilepsy.

It’s Seizure Act Plan Awareness Week. WHAT is a Seizure Action Plan? A Seizure Action Plan (SAP) contains tailored guidelines on how to respond during a seizure, based on the patient’s medical history. For children with SLC13A5 Epilepsy, seizures begin shortly after birth but often change over time, so SAPs may need to be updated frequently. #SAPAW2021
