From Lamia Khorshid, Art 206 instructor: I am pleased to announce that from ART 206 Southwestern College Students: Elizabeth Garcia, Carla Perez, Robert Pianavilla, and James White had images selected for the online exhibition. From nearly 350 images submitted, just over 100 images were selected for the show, and only 30 were selected for printed catalog publication. I am proud to announce that Carla and Jim also had work selected for the printed catalog! I myself decided t...o submit my images that I had made during this time, but only after encouraging my students to do so, and I had 3 images selected, This selection is made more special to me by the important fact of exhibiting with my students. I know you will enjoy this exhibit, as all of us grapple with what it looks like and what it feels like to be living through an unprecedented and surely historic global crisis. Through art we are united, uplifted, soothed, and connected. Here is the landing page for the exhibition. Please click on each of the images to go to each individual gallery. And then click on the thumbnail from any image in the Full Exhibition to enlarge that image and read brief artist statements. Carla wrote poetry that was combined with her image as part of the work, and the other students submitted their artist statements. https://www.thephotographerseyecollective.com/livingandphot The Photographer's Eye: A Creative Collective | LIVING & PHOTOGRAPHING IN THE TIME OF COVID-19www.thephotographerseyecollective.com"LIVING & PHOTOGRAPHING IN THE TIME OF COVID-19" ONLINE JURIED EXHIBITION May 8th - August 1st, 2020 Catalog Availability: After Friday, May 22nd CLICK ON IMAGES TO VIEW INDIVIDUAL GALLERIES
