The US COVID-19 death rate is 1.7% as of today - 149 deaths out of 8,736 known cases. To put in perspective, the 2009 Swine Flu where 61 million known Americans contracted it leading to 12,469 deaths, or .02%. If 61 million Americans catch COVID-19 at the current 1.7% death rate, expect 1.03 million to die. Scary. Maybe that's why everything is being shut down. If any of you experience any symptoms as mentioned on the many news outlets, call your doctor immediately. You ca...n also call the customer service phone number on the back of your Medical ID card to verify what the co-pays are for testing. As broker I can tell you, I’m receiving emails daily from all carriers regarding treatment and testing. What see is there will be no fees or prior approvals needed for COVID-19 tests, but make sure you check with carrier first about treatments, drugs and other items such as hospital stays and patient services for your responsibility. Every carrier, every plan is different. If you have any questions please contact me via email at. [email protected]. Stay safe and well! See more

Check out this video about HSA’s. As deductibles continue to rise, many are making the jump to higher deductibles to save premiums. Ideally those savings should be placed in an HSA for tax benefits.

As you can imagine, this is a chaotic time. Please be patient. Most of you will be rolled over to your existing plans. The December 15th deadline for ACA plans merely is to achieve a Jan 1, 2018 effective. Open enrollment ends Jan 31. So, depending on when you make a change, or enroll, you can still be eligible for effective dates of Jan 1, Feb 1 or even as late as Mar 1, 2018. If you have questions, about anything, your plan, your renewal, or anything else please text me at 310-940-3443 or email me at [email protected] FYI: Covered Ca lines are having difficulties, and his is delaying my services for you. Please be patient, I appreciate it!

Diabetes is a major factor in your Medicare and Health Insurance rates... Diabetes is draining resources and driving up costs for carriers as it affects over 50% of certain demographics across the country. Now that all carriers must not exclude anyone from coverage due to pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, all these individuals are now in the insurance pool and claims are soaring... this is real. We have politicians trying to shift taxes and eliminate benefits mer...ely to cut your premiums, but until we address what helps fuel your premiums, high healthcare costs based on profits and preventable diseases due to diet, rates will continue to rise. What can you or I do? Spread the word. Eat healthy. Exercise and promote taxation on high sugar and processed foods to fund education and prevention, like the tobacco industry was forced to do. Please read this article: #diabetes #healthcare

For all my clients who have had issues with ACA (Obamacare) open enrollment and other issues such as billing issues which resulted in termination or unfair, unreasonable and absurd offers to reinstate and need insurance now, not later. After June 21, 2017, I will be certified to offer Health Share plans which is a viable option for many, and fully satisfies the insurance mandate!! Please feel free to contact me asap or let a friend know they can avoid tax penalties and get covered outside of open enrollment. #HealthShare
