It's a family affair! Congrats to these three brave students for learning how to swim and becoming confident, safe swimmers! It's never too late or too early to learn how to swim! (Although for Sunsational Swim School, we do require our students be at least 6 months old )

"Drowning incidents don’t happen as portrayed on film and TV. They can be difficult to detect as drowning is an extremely silent event. Contrary to popular perception, there is little or no splashing to be seen, no sound involved. Children can drown in front of other children, adults and even lifeguards before anyone realizes what has happened." This is just another reason why we care so much about what we do! Swimming safety is so important!

Nico loves grabbing his friends and working on his kicking with Dory by his side! What a great way to help improve his kicking and have fun, too! Here he is with his instructor, Alyssa!

Look at Daniel go! This ten-year-old kicker from Carlsbad, California takes his dryland warm-up seriously. Daniel is a serious competitive Ice skater and does swimming lessons for additional fitness with coach, Svetlana.

Check out this awesome video of Austin practicing independent entrances into the water with his coach, Veronica! He's getting comfortable with his face in the water! Austin has shown so much progress throughout his lessons and is beginning to say, "I can swim myself!"

Every single child learns differently! Don’t be alarmed if it looks like your child is staying at the same spot - he or she has to get comfortable, grow in skills and confidence, and eventually build the muscles (and positivity) to swim with ease! Be patient. Everyone’s process is unique.
