Earlier in 2020, CEAS, the Center for Latin American Studies, Stanford University and the History Department held a film screening and talk with the director of "Jeronimo," a documentary about the untold story of Koreans in Cuba. The film is now available to watch through Prime Video, for those that missed the screening.
Tomorrow, on October 14, Shao-yun Yang (Denison University) will give a talk "Race and Censorship in the Siku Quanshu Project" as part of the virtual Stanford CMEMS Primary Source Symposium ‘Race in the Archives’. The respondent for this presentation will be Riley Brett-Roche (Stanford University). This event will be held from 12:00 - 1:15pm (PST), via Zoom. The United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) is holding its 23rd annual festival online from October 15-25, 2020. UNAFF will present 60 documentaries, which will be available to watch on-demand anytime during the day on which their session is scheduled. The festival will feature two East Asia-related films: "Who Won the War" (Friday, October 23) "Bureau 39 - Kim's Cash Machine" (Sunday, October 25)... The Center for East Asian Studies at Stanford University is now accepting applications for the 2021-22 Chinese Studies postdoctoral fellowship, open to scholars in the humanities and social sciences studying any historical period. The application deadline for this fellowship is January 15, 2021.

The East Asia Library (EAL) has expanded its interlibrary borrowing services. Materials from other libraries, including Green Library, can now be picked up at the EAL. Additionally, patrons are now able to borrow materials from other libraries through BorrowDirect and Interlibrary Loan. Learn more about these expanded services through the EAL blog.
