Contra Costa County has now moved into California's Orange Tier allowing more businesses and services to reopen.

Firefighters finished a five-day Rope Rescue Technician (RRT) course. The RRT course focuses on technical rope rigging systems, incident management, high angle rescue associated hazards, critical thinking, implementation of victim access, and rescue transport options. These are all valuable skills as it will allow our firefighters to be better prepared when their rescue skills are called upon.

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the East Bay Hills from 11 AM Sunday through 5 AM Tuesday and for Interior Valleys from 8PM Sunday through 11 AM Monday due to strong gusty winds combined with low humidity.
