Day 1 of 52: Engage in pleasurable activities!
Medication management is a huge step in managing bipolar symptoms. This little gadget makes it easy! Never forget meds again https://www.amazon.com/Jini-Smart-Weekly-Organ//B07BVL3CBJ
Something to help you express yourself more fully. I struggle with voicing my emotions, even to myself. I hope you find this helpful, too!
I believe yoga is what finally brought me out of the worst of my bipolar instability a few years ago. What I didn't know was that adding some heart healthy cardio to every day would go even farther. Like a lot of other people, I added more physical exercise to my daily routine during lockdown to keep a stable structure of activities while stuck at home. Since March, I have seen a drastic improvement in my moods. My psychiatrist and I even cut the doses of two medications in h...alf. I've been on the lower doses for a few months now, and I've kept up the exercise. I'm feeling very level, and the side effects of medications affect me less. I'm not saying this will work the same way for everyone, but the exercise is good for your body even if it doesn't improve mood fluctuations much. Why not give it a try? Even 20 minutes of cardio can make a difference. Start small, listen to your body, and do something active you enjoy so you can create and keep up a new healthy habit! See more
It takes both endurance and encouragement to thrive with Bipolar disorder and nourish close relationships. Lean into God, and He will give you both.
They can be unwanted guests for a time, but they always go. You are not your feelings
Good advice for our ups and downs!
Just love this
It’s all about perspective!
Wednesday funny! Seriously, mindfulness practices like meditation and yoga are proven to help stabilize moods and increase resiliency for dealing with life’s ups and downs. This is especially important for we beautiful bipolar people! There are a lot of helpful guided meditation apps out there. I like Headspace and Calm. Give it a shot
