Sonoma County Farm Bureau 11.12.2020

Are you looking for ways to support our community this season. Look no further than the Farm Bureau Foundation of Sonoma County and its mission to ensure our local farming community's ongoing leadership and success. In support of that mission and through our supporters' generosity, the Foundation has awarded $1,191,250 in scholarship funds to 471 students to date. These investments have allowed our local students to attend and graduate from top schools around the country and then put their skills to work in many agriculture-related fields. In addition to scholarships, the Foundation promotes the understanding of agriculture through various other programs such as Tomorrow's Leaders Today and Ag Days. Visit https://sonomafb.org/donate/ or call (707) 544-5575 to learn more or to make a tax-deductible donation today. Thank you!

Thanks to our diverse, dedicated, and hardworking members, we were awarded the 2020 CFBF County Farm Bureau of the Year! President Jeff Carlton said he thrilled that the hard work of our Sonoma County Farm Bureau members, directors, and staff is being recognized at the state level. "We all know that Farm Bureaus across the state do a great of protecting and protecting agriculture and I would like to congratulate all of the other nominees," Carlton said. "It is especially meaningful to be recognized as County of the Year this year as it has been one like no other and we have worked tirelessly to protect agriculture and serve our members through many challenging circumstances whether it be wildfires, pandemics, or the daily challenges farmers face. We will continue to serve our members in Sonoma County, no matter what comes our way."

"Many Californians already struggled with the high cost of living before COVID-19, which just made things worse. The last thing our state needs is to tax farmer...s and ranchers and jack up the cost of food."
