Walking the 5 acres of my dream desert home and finding hidden treasures of thoughtfulness DIY'ed throughout had me in tears. Seeing dates written into concrete that were important to him for his own special reason over 20 years ago and then that date pertaining to my life now in 2020 gave me chills. @wood_brain told me that the perfect property would come at the perfect time and damn was she right. This beautiful father got lost in the desert to find himself, make a corner of the world his own ...and I am so grateful and beyond proud to be able to honor and hold all that charm he put into it near and dear while I do the same. My own little corner of the world to DIY...my first home, my OWN home (well Cali's really) and on top of that my own chunk of land which is something that was non-negotiable for me.
