I have a life long love affair with windsurfing. Before I was old enough to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, I was windsurfing underneath it. It's this love for the sport that helps me understand the agony that many of my patients go through when they have to stop doing something they love due to hip pain. Whether your passion is skiing, biking, running, hiking, horseback riding or simply playing with grandchildren, our goal is always to get you back to the active lifestyle you once loved, pain-free.

An engineer by trade, Rob took an analytical approach to selecting the right surgeon and procedure for his total hip replacement. In this video Rob describes how he went from hip pain so intense that he wasn't able to sleep, to being pain free two weeks after his anterior approach hip replacement procedure. We were honored to work with him and were as thrilled as he was to see him back on the water windsurfing within 12 weeks.

Ski season is just around the corner and we can't tell you how many of our patients thought that they'd never be able to get on the slopes again due to hip pain. We'd love to help you restore your quality of life, whether that means hitting the backcountry or walking up stairs pain-free!

One of the most frequently asked questions that we receive at our practice is "What are some symptoms of Hip Pathology and Osteoarthritis?" Each case is different of course, but in this video, I share some symptoms to look out for. The reality is, living with hip pain can be debilitating and without early intervention, can progressively get worse. If you or someone you know is suffering from hip pain, chronic lower back pain, mechanical symptoms (popping, grinding, catching), stiffness or difficulty completing normal tasks such as getting in and out of a vehicle, I'd recommend scheduling a consultation with your healthcare provider.

One of our passions is to help our patients get back to doing the things they love. Whether that means getting back on the slopes, playing with your children or grandchildren, or in Stacey Printz's case, dancing. We are privileged to be a part of her story.

Throughout my career I have been blessed by incredible mentors. We put this little video together to commemorate the gift my father gave me, a love of practice, and a love of orthopedics. Learn more about me, and the role of mentorship on my life with our most recent video release.
