Looking to explore different career paths? Then look no further! Alpha Kappa Psi is excited to introduce our Alumni Speaker Series, bringing recent graduates from the Chapter to speak on their professional experience post grad and during their time at Santa Clara University! At 17, Jonny (’20) founded a million dollar exotic car rental company (Zadart) that he continued into college until selling. During his time in Alpha Kappa Psi, he served as the chapter’s brotherhood chai...r, interned at Amazon, and is currently working as the Product Manager of his second company, Rematch. A member of the Alpha Delta pledge class, Pooja (’20) spent her time on campus heavily in Intandesh while holding internships as a Business Analyst for PG&E and a Financial Analyst for Agilent Technologies. #SeniorSpotlight: Delaney Hansen ‘20 recently graduated with an Anthropology major and an Economics minor. She joined AKPsi as part of the Alpha Beta pledge class in 2017 and served on the Fundraising Committee, Interview Committee, and STEAM Committee throughout her time as an active brother. As an Anthro major, Delaney developed her passion for the intersection of humans and environment through her classes and through her REAL Grant research on native species in the Bay Are...a She also interned at TM Financial Forensics during the summer of 2019. Outside of school, Delaney led an active social life and never failed to be a friend that cheered you up with her bright energy Thank you for your positive presence, iconic Snapchat stories, and refreshing personality. You are a one of a kind and someone that we will miss dearly next year! As brother Kimbo said: i would not have survived pledging without my girl delaney!! it’s always a good time when she’s around and i can’t wait to see her living it up in sf!! (I could not agree moreDelaney never fails to be the life of the party ) We love you and we hope you are living your best life in SF!!

#SeniorSpotlight: Yash Garg ‘20 is a MIS major from the Omega pledge class. In his Junior year, Yash took up his first leadership position in AKPsi as the fraternity’s Professional Co-chair. Yash then was elected to be the fraternity’s president from 2019-2020. Yash has been a humble and tireless leader to the chapter, and continues to amaze his peers in everything he does. Outside of AKPsi, Yash was heavily involved with the ACE program and SCU’s center of student involvement. After graduation, Yash plans to stay in the Bay Area and work at TM Financial Forensics. Throughout his years at SCU, Yash was a great role model to his three littles: Katie, Mervin, and Maple and they will all miss him dearly! Though it’s sad to see Yash leave, we wish him all the best in his future endeavors and hope to see him again soon!

#SeniorSpotlight: Sophie Nguyen (c/o 2020) is a recent graduate with a Management Information Systems major and Studio Art minor. Y’all could never have this much RANGE. Along with being a member of the Alpha Gamma pledge class, Sophie has continued to give back to our chapter by serving as our VP of Marketing and Interview Committee co-chair. She has also been a superstar in the greater SCU community, with involvements in other organizations such as Santa Clara Consulting an...d Women in Business. Brothers know and love Sophie for her amazing artistic skills (s/o @artwithnug), passion for sustainability and social justice, and impeccable music taste. Her immense drive and giving nature have helped many in their search for internships and professional development seriously, this girl has looked at SO many resumes. Post-graduation, Sophie is currently working as a graphic designer for a sustainable retail startup, as well as picking up freelance work on the side. Sophie, your presence, creative spirit, and ability to reduce us to tears with your hilarious stories will be sorely missed! Keep in touch, and best of luck with your future adventures!

#SeniorSpotlight: Naomi Isom ‘20 is a Marketing major from the Psi Omega Alpha Gamma pledge class. Naomi has not only been the Service Committee head of AKPsi but has also been a part of an A cappella group on campus. Naomi has worked on the Sales Development Team of CrowdStrike for the past year and is planning to explore new marketing paths after graduation. Naomi always has a sunny attitude to go along with her obsession of Chester’s Fries. She also has an amazing passion ...for service and giving back to the community. We will truly miss your presence in AKPsi Naomi! Hey Nam!! I don’t even know where to begin. I’m so glad that I got introduced to you during rush. You made me feel so comfortable and welcome right off the bat and I couldn’t have been happier to have you as my big! I’m going to miss your bubbly and always down attitude and I know you’re going to do such great things in the future. Thanks for starting our little family and I can’t wait to see you when I’m back. #SeniorSpotlight: Chris Tennant ‘20 majored in Economics and minored in Entrepreneurship. He pledged with the Alpha Delta Pledge Class in 2018. During his time in AKPsi, Chris served on the Brotherhood and Social committees as well our Warden. Outside of AKPsi, Chris cofounded Wranglers at Santa Clara and became the President of the Economics Student Association. Chris Tennant has always loved basketball, especially his favorite team the Portland Trail Blazers. Chris, good luck in all your future endeavors, sorry our time was cut short!

#SeniorSpotlight: Apoorva Rajanala ’20 recently graduated with a Management Information Systems major and a Business Analytics minor. After joining the chapter with the Alpha Gamma pledge class, Apoorva went on to serve our Executive Committee as VP Administration during her senior year. Outside of AKPsi, Apoorva’s leadership continues to be exemplified through her two years as everyone’s favorite Dunne CF and as Intandesh’s Co-President. Whether throwing an amazing Culture S...how and showing off her dance moves or whipping up some fire meals (s/o @apoorva_attempts), you never cease to awe and inspire. An avid lover of cats, singing, and healthy snacking, you’ll never catch Apoorva without her metal straws and a smile that will surely brighten your day. The determination and drive Apoorva has for everything she sets her mind to, are just two of the reasons why we are so excited to see what she accomplishes at VMWare in the future! Apoorva, I am so grateful to not only have you as a supportive Big but as a friend for life as well. Love you longtime and you will be missed tremendously, but you don’t live far, so I expect many visits!! See more

#SeniorSpotlight is back! Sophie Harpt ‘20 is an economics major who graduated with honors from the Alpha Delta Pledge class. During her time at SCU, Sophie served as a peer advisor, worked as an Administrative assistant in the Business School, and was an active member of numerous clubs. Sophie is a hiker, a yogi, a dancer, and she has even been known to throw her own award shows from time to time #legend. Never one to pass up an adventure, Sophie will be moving to Cambodia with the Peace Corps in the fall. Sophie, your spunky vibes and amazing humor will be missed we cannot wait to watch you change the world!

Psi Omega alum, Arun Coumar, has graciously extended his hand to offer our active brothers some much needed advice on continuing our career building in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. Arun’s knowledge on career development will prove to be an invaluable resource for our brothers, which will hopefully lead them to create valuable opportunities and experiences for themselves, especially during this trying time.
