Acupuncture and the Stay-at-Home Order: On December 4, Bay Area Health Officers moved to implement CA's new regional stay home order, ordering many businesses to close or reduce capacity. In California, Acupuncture is treated as primary healthcare, and therefore Acupuncture services may continue, with safety measures in place of course. - I take COVID-19 seriously, and am taking all the recommended precautions to keep all patients safe. I am closely following public health ...guidelines pertaining to COVID-19. I am here for you! As a reminder, I adhere to these guidelines to minimize risk of exposure: - Spacing out appointments by 30 minutes, which means that your treatment room will have an extended period of time empty (with air filter on) before your appointment time - Medical grade filters in each treatment room - Ask that patients come right at appointment time to avoid having patients overlap in the reception area - Patients are asked to wait outside the office if they arrive early - Patients are provided with hand sanitizer upon arrival - Patients are required to wear well-fitting masks covering mouth and nose at all times, and I wear a KN95 mask. If masks are not well-fitting, a disposable mask will be provided. - Using either disposable sheets or washing all linens after each use - Sanitizing treatment rooms between patients - Sanitizing the entire office often throughout the patient day - All cancellation fees are waived in the case of any illness or concerning symptom Patients are required to reschedule their appt in 2 weeks if they have any of the following symptoms, or share a household with someone with these symptoms: - Cough - Fever - Sore throat - Sinus congestion or sneezing - Shortness of breath - Loss of smell or taste - recent unexplainable diarrhea or nausea - recent unexplainable rash - positive COVID-19 test result STAY SAFE AND WELL! I hope to see you soon, Jennifer
