Can anyone else relate this this where did I go phenomenon? I know I can! I love @femalerising.inc art here that remind us all going into the weekend to slow down and take some time to go within...to turn on our inner eyes and inner ears and simply be. It’s also a great time to ground in how far you’ve come. I am finding this work more and more enticing, the more I give myself permission to simply be with whatever shows up-to welcome thoughts, feelings and dreams with an open heartlistening to learn. May you too make time this weekend to celebrate you and bring your dreams back into the forefront!

For years I’ve dreamt of building community where those who are up to big things in their lives yet struggling inside with anxiety could come together, gain practical mindfulness and trauma healing tools, accountability and support to really take on developing self love and compassion, AND learn to enjoy the full experience of being human-welcoming the anxiety, learning from it, meanwhile grounding in what you love and making bold moves towards your vision! And it’s here! Thi...s 12 week interactive group is designed to dramatically shift the way you relate to anxiety, understand your trauma response and complete your stress cycle. You’ll be supported to look at your relationships with your self, Higher power and others in a whole new way, and develop your own roadmap (guru-free) complete with bold moves that will support you in creating a connected, inspiring, and meaningful life! We re hardwired for connection and in a time full of self paced online programming, this group is unique as you’ll journey alongside other courageous people, by participating in a weekly 2 hour online group and benefiting from ongoing communication throughout the 12 weeks on a special group forumyour peers and facilitator. In my own family we took a financial hit recently due to the impact of Covid and recognize that many of you are quietly suffering your anxiety late at night, feeling alone, or maybe when the kids aren’t looking and so decided to offer this invitation at half the normal cost this next round starting end of March. Also, there are 3 special groups, and if you’re not sure which would be the best fit, please ask! It’s not easy to carry the burden of anxiety alone, no one should, and if you’re ready to take this on or wondering if it’d be a good fit for you, message me here or email me at [email protected] for a free consultation call. 2021 it’s time for some bold moves! Someone asked about high functioning anxiety this week and how would you know you’re struggling with it? Here are a few thoughts on this catch phrase that’s gaining popularity with many to describe what it may look like for those who are propelled forward versus getting frozen in life with anxiety- or out of control fear. If you or someone you love struggles with anxiety, call us today to see whether our team would be a good fit for you! (951) 271-0397 or email [email protected]

Christmas 2020you’ve been unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I usually LOVE this time of year, and yet lately I’ve found myself jumping to thoughts of Christmas break, rather than staying in the present. perhaps it’s having finally watched the mandalorian tv show recently or perhaps it’s my deeply rooted desire to live life from the glass half full, who knows, yet today in session when someone coined the term joy sniper, I found myself taken with the idea...what if thi...s season I shot joy from a safely socially distanced place into the hearts and homes of those around me? And even better WITH my family! More than ever I’m clear we are hardwired for connection and this year has brought so many unexpected obstacles, and yet it’s not over yet! In our family we like to say, it’s not over till the handshake! (As in high fiving the other team at the end of a soccer match-good game!) so today I decided to take up my scope and start looking for ways however small to shoot some joy before the holidays end. It was a great reminder to play 2020 all the way through in a meaningful way. If you’re in the inland empire area and have some ideas for this joy sniper message me! Thanks! See more

Bringing in the holidays this year has been full of surprises! Including an unexpected Snapchat photo shoot from a friend of my husband and I here post thanksgiving :) while posing we both laughed as we remembered sitting somewhat like this in a tantric position years ago called yab yum, no talking, only eye contact, legs wrapped over each other like kids do when two ride on a swing togethersimply connectingeye to eyeheart to heartsoul to soul. Working with anxiety, intim...acy and couples I witness daily how our bodies keep the score of our traumas, and yet in this simple moment next to the tree I was amazed how fast our bodies remembered all the feels of beautiful shared intimacy from almost 8 years ago with a simple wanna yab yum? Never underestimate the power of regular touch, connection, pleasure and intimacy! Consider how often you reach for or initiate connection in your own partnership? What has your partner mentioned they really appreciate? If unsure, this is a great place to startask them! If you’re clear and noticing a block, consider reaching out for support! I offer relationship check ups, yep, 2 sessions of relational coaching to see where you two are at and want to be and then gain support for moving ahead together. Or perhaps you know things are mostly great yet you find yourselves missing each other a little more than you like to admidt. Reach out ASAP - you’re both worth it! And life flows so much more meaningfully when we can align and meet each other wherever we are at! See more

So what does a therapist who runs groups for adults committed to living life boldly even with anxiety get from her sister to read over vacation? Yesanxious people! This author is one of my favs, with how he captures our ridiculousness and essence as humans in thoughtful and hilarious ways :) reading for fun is quite the luxury in our household with small children who never seem to sleep! What book are you reading these days for fun or thats moved you?

So often anxiety seems to render us totally paralyzed, out of control angry with fearor something in between. It has a lot to do with how you instinctively cope with stress. Some fight and try to control danger, others freeze or flee and try to avoid it. And then there those who welcome it in, almost like an uninvited house guest, acknowledging it, and yet choosing to still focus on what’s important in that moment. You’re able to then evoke your courage to take action on imp...ortant values! Eventually the uncomfortable thoughts or feelings start to fade away into the back ground and you look up realizing you’ve completed your task, or shared a meaningful moment with someone! This is for me what I love most about the work I do with adults experiencing anxietyseeing them come in after being in my Bold Moves group and sharing how they actually asked the person out! Or drove on the freeway again! Or changed professions! Retired gracefully! Healed with their family! No longer having regular panic attacks! Where your focus goes growsthis wisdom along with so much more from ACT therapy and mindfulness and attachment work form the basis for the Bold Moves online group therapy approach for making peace with anxiety. If you or anyone you know are interested in learning more, message me!!! New group starts tonight! Photo credit: @lorazombie the-courage-art-print See more

What comes to your mind when you think about mindfulness and meditation? Yesterday I had the honor of speaking all about these with Ali Al-Saadoon, founder and executive director of the Muslim Family Foundation vía FB live (link in comments if you’d like to check it out- last 15 minutes offers a basic guided meditation). It’s incredible to be able to speak about these incredible practices and tools, especially given how beneficial they are for transforming the way we relate t...o difficult challenges like anxiety and depression, or life transitions as many of us are finding ourselves in these last 7 months! If ever you or anyone you know would like support really living in there present moment, feel free to message me about therapeutic options and check out our Bold Moves Group: ACT therapy and mindfulness group for adults! New round kicks off tommorrow! See more
