Santa Monica Chorus is committed to inclusion. Part of that means confronting the history of barbershop music as it relates to race and the work that still needs to be done to make the Sweet Adelines community welcoming for all. We are so proud that our own Bridget Bronson Barrett is a prominent voice in doing this work. She has been leading us as a member of our chorus music team, Region 11's management team and Sweet Adelines International's Diversity and Inclusion Task Fo...rce. She is using her voice at all levels and we could not be more grateful for her wisdom and compassion in facilitating our progress. The video below is Harmony in Color: A Safe Space for Unity, which gathered SAI leaders and members for a productive discussion of race in barbershop.
