**SFPUC's New Emergency Assistance Program for Utility Bills** The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission SF Water, Power, Sewer (SFPUC) has announced a New Emergency Assistance Program that will offer 15%-35% discounts to residential customers who need help paying their Water, Sewer, and Hetchy Power bills. This program is available for a limited time, and qualified customers can save on their bills retroactively to March 4. No one should have to choose between buying gro...ceries and paying their utility bills. Eligible customers include those ave a pre-COVID-19 maximum gross household income before taxes and deductions of less than 200% of the San Francisco Area Median Income. For example, a household of 2 would need to make less than $205,000 annually. This the first step in addressing our customers’ needs. We will be rolling out a relief program for our non-profit and business customers in the near future too, stay tuned for more information! It was three for three for CAC Chair Amy Zock! This past Sunday Chair Zock hosted the third annual CAC leadership retreat at her home for the third year in a row (a different location each time). This team is ready and revved for another year of infrastructure upgrades, public power, water diversification and advancing equity and community benefits through utilities!

Did you know SFPUC had a facility in North Beach that primarily treats stormwater before it drains out into the bay? The CAC held a special meeting on Saturday touring the Norhtpoint Wet Weather facility to see the "largest toilet bowl" in SF and to learn about how this former treatment plant works to handle the massive amount of stormwater during the rainy season!
