Bee Love Sacramento

Instead of fishing bees out from the pool.... A foam board and dish towel has made for a great watering/landing spot for them.

It's rather swarmy for bees this time of year.

The bees haven't canceled. It's Beesness as usual for them. The first of three swarms captured this year.

It's an early spring urban beekeeping hive check time.

Bee Love was at the Sacramento Oak Park market today! Showing the bees, talking with folks about the importance of honeybees in our city, urban beekeeping and tasting honey that was made in our city.

Thank you Ammie for your helping hands and tools with getting this swarm out of the stairs of this house. It certainly was a challenge but we were successful in removing the bees and safely relocating them.

The most action packed swarm of the century! I was suspicious of the call that a swarm was found on the ground. Swarms usually hang on branches in trees. Indeed the bees were on the ground. Whoah!
