EVERLASTING HOPE The imperial rule of Rome, used fear of force to rule over the empire. The most effected group was, of course, was the poor. "How will this be, "Mary asked the angel, " since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the most high will overshadow you, so the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month, For nothing is impossible with God." Those who lived under Roman rule knew what the heel of the boot of Rome was, Rome instilled fear into all the inhabitants. There was little or no hope for the poor and this made them worse off. Not unlike today as we look into this Christmas season there is fear of pandemic and poverty that troubles the people.. While the elite and the ruling class promise relief. It's the happiest time of the year. Christmas season is upon us. The reason to celebrate is the birth of Jesus. Like many of you, everyday we celebrate The Risen Lord Jesus. Yet when December rolls around we get that little bounce in our step knowing that we will get together with family and friends and express our praise to God for sending his only begotten son His Gift to humanity for everlasting life. This year of 2020 is, to say the least, is filled with apprehens...ion, instead of anticipation of joy we are anticipating a ho hum holiday. The pandemic is the grinch of christmas. The governor is mandating a stay home policy. Will he close down the town? Will we stop the singing? JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. The angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah and informed him that God had heard his prayer and his wife Elizabeth would bear him a son. This child would be the bearer of good news and would go before the Lord. He would be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he was born. To be continued.

The recipe for a blessed life even in a pandemic is as proverbs 3:5,6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all you ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight." Life as we know it is about to change drastically. The covid 19 virus has gripped the entire globe. Leaders who dont know The Lord are trying to control the virus by closing down businesses. Especially those small businesses like family owned restaurants and d...ress shops, and barbershop, and beauty salons. This may be the right thing to do, but how do you deal with the economic and emotional damage that happens. The bible teaches us that God loves us and provides all our needs.Jesus said do not worry Because God cares for us. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matt.6:33,34 DON'T PUT YOUR TRUST IN MEN TRUST IN GOD. See more

Mans law cannot usurp Gods law. The prime directive given to man is to protect life. If we promote such things as abortion. We disobey Gods commandment. Jesus came to give life and life abundantly. The thief came to kill still and destroy. Our creator will help us create a better civilization if we honor him. Let us protect life . God will hear our prayers if we humble ourselves and turn from this wicked practice. A

Wolves in sheep's clothing "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." False prophets are prolific in today's modern world. And it is very difficult to spot them. "By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes,or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear... good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will recognize them." 2nd Peter 2 they infiltrate the church and secretly introduce destructive heresies even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them- bringing swift destruction on themselves." A destructive heresy is a false teaching that is destructive. A false teacher will exploit the people to follow their depravity. "Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories." They're the type that preach what you want to hear. Man likes to be part of great causes and become easy prey for their use. Jude the brother of our Lord Jesus tells us that these false prophets lie and pervert the grace of God. Verse 4 "For certain whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you they are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only sovereign and Lord.
