My Parish Family and Friends, The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the heart of the Mother of Godand if you wish peace to reign in your homes, recite the family Rosary. Pope St. Pius X How are you and your family? Through the love and protection of our Lord, I hope you’re all doing well. We have had beautiful days this week and I’m sure you love it. Many of you have started working on your vege...table gardens and others are enjoying outdoor activities. Yesterday afternoon I was able to ride my mountain bike and went around to some of the amazing places in our area. Next time I will visit your homes, don’t be afraid if you don’t recognize me right away! We look forward to a Welcome Back Party for both of our parishes at St. Anthony on Saturday, June 18. It’s been more than two years since the pandemic began, and we want to bring our parish families together to give thanks and to celebrate the goodness of God. Send the word and reach out to parishioners who have not been to church for a while. Sign-ups will be in the vestibule after mass on May 28/29, June 4/5, and June 11/12. Please sign up if you plan to attend and if you would like to help. I would like you to know that the memorial Mass for our beloved Charley Birimisa will be on Saturday, July 30th, at 11am at St. Anthony church. Continue praying for Lynn and the family that God may grant them comfort and peace. Memorial weekend will be on May 28-30. May we remember our beloved dead, especially those military members who served our country. I invite you to submit the names of your deceased service members to the office and we will offer prayers for them at the Memorial weekend masses. May all our deceased be granted eternal life in God’s kingdom. There will be a meeting and updating of all Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, and Ushers of St. Anthony the weekend of June 4 and 5 following the masses, you only need to attend one. We are also extending the invitation to all parishioners who are interested in becoming ministers. You may contact Darrold and Cathy Jourdan at 530-926-3255, or the parish office at 530-926-4477. Let us continue to pray for one another that we may have the courage and strength to persevere in this challenging time. With all my love, Fr. Lester

Dearest Parishioners and Friends, I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary. Our Lady to St. Dominic Let us run to Mary and as her little children cast ourselves into her arms with a perfect confidence. St. Francis de Sales... It’s interesting, the month of May. May be snow, May be rain, May be hot, May be windy and cold.we never know! But in Faith, we know that we have a God who loves us so much. Whatever season and whatever is going on in life, we stay grateful, joyful and trusting in the Lord. Many elderly parishioners are having health issues and I request that you pray for them all the more. Give them a call, send them a note, or pay them a visit when you can and let them feel that the Parish Family is with them. We extend our sincere condolences to Ed and Barb Valenzuela and family for the death of the loving mother of Ed. May the Lord grant the soul of Ida Valenzuela eternal joy and peace in heaven. Father Guillermo Memo Hernandez and the seminarians of the Diocese of Sacramento will be visiting our parish on Saturday, May 28. There will be a mass at St. Anthony at 11am. I invite you and bring young people with you to meet our future priests. Let the office know if you plan to come. Together, we pray the rosary every day in this month of May, the month of Mary. May we offer our prayers for peace in the world and for the end of abortion. May the Blessed Mother accompany us in our journey through life. May God Bless us and our Parish Family. In Jesus through Mary, Fr. Lester

My Parish Family and Friends, The priest is not a priest for himself; he does not give himself absolution; he does not administer the Sacraments to himself; he is not for himself, HE IS FOR YOU. St. John Vianney Behind each priest, there is a demon fighting for his fall. If we have the language to criticize them, we must have twice as much to pray for them. St. Therese... Happy May! How are you doing? I hope you’re all doing well in this time of the year. This weekend, we shall be celebrating Good Shepherd Sunday and World Day of Prayer for Vocations. We honor and remember all the priests, especially those who served in our parishes through the years. May you reach out to them and extend your greetings and gratitude for their dedication and faithful service to God’s people. And most importantly, pray for all priests and well as PRAY for vocations for the priesthood and religious life. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all mothers and join us in the church for the celebration of Mother’s Day this weekend. There will be a blessing of Mothers at the end of the masses. Thank you to all mothers for your selfless love and sacrifices. May the good Lord bless your generous hearts. This Saturday, May 7, at 11 am we will have our First Saturday Devotion. Beginning at 11am, we will pray the Rosary and celebrate Mass. I encourage you to shower our dear Ginny Sartor with birthday greetings as she celebrates her 95th birthday on May 8. May God continue to bring His blessings upon Ginny and her family. I would like to remind you that on Monday, May 9, the mass will be at 8:30am instead of 12noon so that I may attend the funeral service for Deacon Steven Schwartz, the father of Paul Schwartz, who passed away last week. We extend our condolences to Paul and Kim and all the family for their loss. We pray that God will comfort them in this time of grief. My most sincere gratitude for praying for me and my brother priests during our Holy Retreat. Know that your love and support are my inspiration and the source of my strength to be a faithful servant of the Lord. May our Blessed Mother accompany us in our journey through life. In Jesus, through Mary, Fr. Lester

Dearest Parish Family and Friends, St. Joseph did not do extraordinary things, but rather by the constant practice of ordinary and common virtues, he attained the sanctity which elevates him above all the other saints. -St. Joseph Marello... How are you doing in this hot summer weather? I guess many of you love the sun, and others just prefer to stay in the comfort of your home. Whatever your preferences, remember to be grateful always and have the spirit of joy and love in your heart. Last weekend we started opening our churches to 100% seating capacity. I was so happy to see the radiance of your angelic faces again! Let us send the word out and welcome back our parishioners and friends who have not been to church. In July we shall resume the regular schedules of weekend masses in Mt. Shasta, Saturday 5pm and Sunday 9am. As we come to the end of June, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your great love and support to our church. Despite the pandemic, we are thriving and moving forward in building God’s Kingdom in our midst. Believe it or not, it is my third year journeying with you now as your friend, brother, and priest. I’m so blessed and I thank God for my beloved Parish Families of Mt. Shasta and McCloud. May God continue to bless our Parish and our Mission. Your Humble Servant, Fr. Lester
