This waiver does not include provisions of Division 12 establishing minimum safety requirements for every vehicle sold. A statement of facts where the buyer acknowledges the sticker was on the vehicle at the point of sale.

For New Applications: Please be aware, if filing as a Corporation there is now a new form number for the Statement of Information. All Corporations that were formed in the year 2017 must have Statement of Information Form SI 550. If your Corporation was formed in 2016, DMV will still continue to accept the Statement of Information Form SI 200. Look at your filing date and make sure you have the correct document when you submit your application to avoid numerous visits to your Licensing Inspector

Three auto retailers agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they failed to sufficiently disclose that some of their cars were actually subject to unaddressed safety recalls even after the companies touted how thoroughly they inspect their vehicles. The Federal Trade Commission’s proposed consent orders will prohibit these retailers from making unqualified inspection or safety-related claims about their used vehicles subject to safety recalls. for concerns about safety recalls please visit : safecar.gov
