Student-to-Student Peer Counseling Club 07.11.2020

Hello everyone, I just want to let you all know that the previously posted walk-in schedule is still under construction, so to speak. The Wednesday from 2:00 - 3:00 and Thursday from 3:20 - 4:20 are likely unavailable. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, however, are still on schedule. Remember, you can always contact a Student-to-Student Peer counselor personally to schedule an appointment! Simply click on "Photos" at the top of our page, then click on the photo of an S2SPCC counselor with whom you would like to meet and find their contact information in the photo's description. Thank you so much for your support!

Heather Roth S2SPCC President Certified Peer Counselor [email protected] (619) 937-1000... Hello everyone! My name is Heather, I'm 23 years old, and I am the President of the Student-to-Student Peer Counseling Club at Grossmont College. I am a Psychology Major, in the process of earning my Associate in Arts in Psychology for Transfer, and almost halfway there! Once I've completed my AA, I plan to attend UC Berkeley (hopefully!) and achieve a Bachelors degree in Psychology, as well -- and after that, Ph.D., here I come! When I'm completely done with school, I aspire to become a criminal profiler for the FBI. I dropped out of High School sometime during the beginning of my senior year, and I spent several years being something of a hermit. Simply going outside and saying hello to my neighbors was alien to me and my situation quickly spiraled out of control. I was doing nothing, feeling like nothing, and didn't know who I was, let alone what I wanted to do with my life. It took me almost five years to finally realize that I couldn't live that way anymore. It simply wasn't living. So, in May of 2011, I marched into the Grossmont Campus' Financial Aid office and demanded to know how and how soon I could attend. After I filled out a few forms and jumped through a few hoops, I was enrolled. Suffice to say, school is pretty much my life these days. I live and breathe my classes and this wonderful club I've been given. However, when I'm not busy with homework or organizing events, I love to listen to all types of music, watch all sorts of films, read horror novels, write nonsense, and simply chill with my friends. If you are in need of an unbiased shoulder to cry on, laugh with, or just plain rant at -- I'm here for you. Please don't hesitate to send me an e-mail, or simply call me; we can set up a time and place on campus to meet and talk about whatever you need. Thank you for supporting us; I look forward to hearing from you!
