Hello Twin Cities Family, My name is Christine Acosta and I am the new Children’s Ministry Preschool Assistant. It is an honor to be serving in this role, and I am so excited to see what the future holds. I have been living in the area for the past 7 years now, and my husband and I reside in the Alta Sierra neighborhood with our two bundles of joy, Israel who is 3.5 year old, and Blanca Nieves who is 2.5 year old. My husband is the Program Director over at Hospitality House, ...and I have several years of experience working with at risk youth, as well as in Early Childhood Education before becoming a stay at home mom for the last 3 years. I love to host small events involving families and their children out in the community, and it is an interest of mine to start a co-op of parent educators specializing in home-based learning and alternative education, here at the church. Merry Zoom Christmas from Children's Ministry!

Twin Cities Church Family, We know that this holiday season can get really busy. Finding time to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with your kids can be tough. Children's Ministry has put together some resources to make the celebration easier for your family. Some of the resources are available through this email, but we have also put together an "At Home" Party kit for you to pick up. Since kids love to bake and help in the kitchen, our kits are designed for a family ...fun night that gathers everyone in the kitchen. As a family, you will bake a birthday cake and decorate it. Then, as a family, decide when you’ll have a party to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. Maybe it will be part of your Christmas Eve celebration, or maybe it will be the centerpiece dessert on Christmas Day. Whatever you decide, make sure you take the time to talk to your kids about the birth of Jesus, God’s only Son. Sing Happy Birthday, and celebrate Jesus! We are looking forward to seeing those pictures on social media! We will have kits available starting on Sunday, December 13 from 9am - 11am in the coffee bar area. With the recent COVID restrictions, Children’s Ministry is making the advent wreath craft night an At Home Experience. Advent wreath kits are available for pick-up starting Monday, November 23 during office hours at Twin Cities Church.
