It's July!! Which means we made through recital. Great job everyone. We have received such great feedback from this year's audience members. So great job to our dancers and staff! Now it's time for Summer Dance. Check out out summer schedule. Be sure to check for changes, and remember office hours are subject to change. Please check out our FB page for updates on times.... All sorts of new classes are put on over and the summer along with some exciting workshops. It's a great time to take a break, but dont loose that motivation!! Cross train, watch old musicals, watch new musicals, go see a play, do what you need to do to stay inspired this summer. But most of all...enjoy it! Special suprise below As previously mentioned, Performing Group came to a fast halt last Spring . So as a Special Suprise for my mom (Ms Gwen) I put together a special Christmas performance just for her! With the help of the Performing Group and all the parents, we pulled it off,we made her cry, and had her claim this as "The best Christmas present ever." ... Thanks so much PG for being a part of this with me. Those who didn't get a chance to be a part of the video, were able to send me written messages that I also gave to her. Sorry to anyone who missed it. I truly tried to get to everyone. Please enjoy our special gift. Its just as much for the performing group and the studio as it was for my mom. Happy Thanksgiving, to you and your families!!

Great news! With the wait list for the point prep class growing by the day, and the new influx of "soon to be" pointe dancers, we've decided to put on TWO MORE classes during the week, for the month of December!!! For three weeks we will be offering a One Hour, Pointe Preperation Class... Day and Times Thursdays- 3:20-4:20 and 4:20-5:20 (Please remember there will be cleaning time inbetween classes) Requirements: You must be a level Ballet 1C or higher to sign up. Q&A Q: Do I have to take all 3 weeks? A: No, you may sign up for as many or as few classes as you'd like during the month. Q: Will this change my tuition? A: No, this will be ran as a workshop. You will pay for the individual classes you sign up for. (Please call/see office for info on pricing) Q: Will I/My dancer get my/their pointe shoes after the three weeks is up? A: No, this is to teach the fundamentals and strengthening required to go onto pointe. They must be evaluated separately to go 'en pointe'. (Evaluation date TBA soon) Q: Does ballet attire need to be worn? A: No. But, please do wear form fitting clothes, muscles and body lines must be visible. Hair still up! Q: What will I need? A: Most items will be provided, but having your own therabands and yoga blocks are preferred. Also, a small hand towel (large enough to place a foot on) Q: Is this the same as beginner pointe? A: No. Pointe shoes will not be given or worn in this class. Q: I'm already enrolled in the Tuesday Pointe Prep, can I still sign up for the December classes? A: Absolutely! The more classes you take will only get you to your pointe goals sooner! Q: Can I use this as a makeup class? A: The class is separate from your monthly tuition, so though you must pay for the class, you may still apply this towards competition required makeups. (With teacher discretion of course) Q: I'm recovering from an ankle injury, will this make it worse? A: If this is a concern please talk to Ms Rachel directly. This can be a great class for muscle recovery, however every injury should be looked at and treated differently. Modifications may be necessary. Many girls take this class to help with ankle/foot strengthening after an injury. I hope all your questions were answered Remember class sizes are limited, so sign up, before they're full!! Wait!!?? Don't have dance Thursday and don't want to drive in for just an hour? Well, this is actually a great class to take over Zoom! We work very stationary, and speak throughout most of class, so no muffled music or sounds! Plus what a good way to get in a little extra work before the winter break Ask the office for an email about what tools you would need to get the most out of taking this class (at home or in studio) #ramonajulianacademyofdance #smalltownstudio #ramonadance #ramonadanceclasses

Starting this Friday and running through December 4th You can access it as described below.... One of our former R/JAD dancers Hayley Weber is a part of both casts, but has solos in Cast A! Words from Hayley's mom Kaylene: "It was beautiful....even with all of the choreography changes and masks. Really incredible to see them make the very best of such a challenging situation this year! " Hayley is the mother in the family scene (turquoise blue gown) and the lead Angel in second act. We are all so proud of her and love seeing her dance career blossom Did you know Hayley is also the older sister Peyton Weber, one of our current and longtime R/JAD dancers. Well, Whether you know Hayley or not, it's bound to be a wonderful show to watch.
