It’s FRIYAY!!! Hope it’s a happy weekend for all!

Everyone loves the nature shot so that’s what I shoot the most. So grateful for clients that will indulge me and take it to the streets when I just need to be a creative! Who’s down for a neighborhood stroll to walk it out with me on your next session!?

I found them the perfect little pocket of light and they found these perfect smiles for me. If the love doesn’t look like this as I grow older then I don’t want it!

Sisters...there’s just something about this bond that nothing else rivals. It’s always such a joy for me to photograph siblings of any age but as I get older and realize how little us siblings really get to spend time together it makes moments like this so much more special. Is it weird that I wanted to jump in and be the 4th in this group of beauties? Not weird right...

Masks. What can I say, I hate everything about what they represent and despise that they hide one of the features that I’m so reliant upon in my work...smiles. But the reality is they will forever hold a visual representation of 2020 and what we have experienced as a country and a globe. So we document it. Because ultimately, as creators we are here to provide that documentation and capture real life. These wings totally get a permanent place on my page. I mean, come on! And girlfriend OWNED THEM too... Then there is little brother Zach. This guy makes me WORK you guys! And he brought that 2020 all bets are off vibe for the first 45 minutes but then he gave me all this and I was living for it! Man, how I love these little humans!

Smooches and Smiles and two of my best gals! These are easily some of my favorite photos of the season and they almost didn’t happen! When we showed up to our session it was RAINING! _ It’s fine, everything is fine I said and you know what??? It was.!! I mean, it’s 2020, rain is the least of our worries right?!

So I did a thing today...I celebrated my birthday... _ It’s been a crazy year. As I reflect on the past 12 months I almost can’t remember what life was like before COVID and quarantine. We’ve all lost a lot this year. But as I look back I’m reminded of what I’ve found. I’ve found I need a lot less than I used to believe. That home is where the heart is. That health is wealth. That family is first. That time is a thief and nothing is guaranteed. I’ve found that friendships... are defined much more so during the hard times. That faith is my foundation. That hugs are healing. That wine really can solve most problems. That love is king. - Happy Birthday to me. Thank you to everyone who reached out and played a part in making me feel loved. It was a good day.
