It's only four days into the new year but I hope everyone is having a great year so far. This year with the government has been shut down since December 22, 2018. The shutdown has affected all agencies and some agencies partially. One of them is yep you guessed it, the IRS. How does this affect you? Well here is a summary of how it will be affecting you. 1. If you are expecting a refund expect a delay in receiving the refund.... 2. If you are needing transcripts for loans to show proof of income. You will not be able to request one. However they will issue transcripts related to disaster relief efforts 3. If you have questions and need to call the IRS most if not all call sites will not be available.
