Pride Month Artist Highlight: Wu Tsang Wu Tsang is an award-winning filmmaker and visual artist who combines documentary and narrative techniques with fantastical detours into the imaginary in works that explore hidden histories, marginalized narratives, and the act of performing itself. Tsang re-imagines racialized, gendered representations beyond the visible frame to encompass the multiple and shifting perspectives through which we experience the social realm. Throwback Thursday! Cocktails with the Collection (2020) Cocktails with the Collection takes attendees into the vault and discusses objects from our collection that are not currently on display. The art and topics range each time which allows attendees to learn more about the collection at RAFFMA.

Dear RAFFMA Members and Visitors, For the health and safety of the museum’s staff, volunteers, visitors, and the entire community, and to support public health officials in their efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, the museum will be closed effective Monday, March 16. All the scheduled school and other group tours will be canceled, and we won’t be accepting any new tour requests for April. "David Olivant: Studio Leitmotifs" (2010) David Olivant's work was inspired by what he describes as "the development of a personal mythology, whose characters seem to exude archetypal significance, but also the searing Dionysian emotional extravagance which always seems to well up from depths of the unconscious mind." "Studio Leitmotifs" was a part of the "Timeless Enchantment" exhibition at RAFFMA.

Warm Holiday Season’s Greetings! When wrapping up this doozy of a year, we reflect on the lessons we have learned during its course. When we recall the 2020’s memorable moments, both sad and happy, the ones that stand out of light illuminating our paths, helping us through its unique tests and hurdles. We're hiring! The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art is currently seeking a Digital and Virtual Content Production Student Assistant and an Animator Student Assistant for the entire 2020-21 academic year. Student will work in collaboration with the museum’s Research Egyptologist, Collection and Education Coordinator and the Marketing, Engagement and Membership Coordinator.
