We have the power to think, feel, and become exactly who we want to be. Whether it’s a different voice, relationship, income, job, etc. believe you have that today and be that person. You have the power!! Start from happy.
Join me August 23rd at 5pm PST on Zoom with @live_vocally! Link in bio to register :)
I was provided with the wonderful opportunity of joining Master Clinician Network in 2019 and have since completed 3 full sessions on voice feminization. If you are a clinician or student, check them out! https://www.masterclinician.org
Pitch is one of many elements targeted during voice modification. An important note when modifying the pitch range is to avoid keeping the voice within a small pitch window (e.g., 220-250 Hz), especially when the goal is to achieve a more "feminine" sound. Expand your instrument, play with pitch variation! You will find that fatigue decreases and the voice sounds more natural when your pitch window is larger and more variable (e.g.,170-300 Hz). Do you have any thoughts on pitch?
Repost from @our.pride_ Just your daily reminder that Black lives still matter and Black Trans and Non-Binary folks need to be protected and prioritized. We’re not free until we are ALL free. We hope these kind reminders challenge you and serve as a call to action for all of us to go beyond acts of social media allyship and solidarity to consider how we can move beyond just awareness and take practical action to protect the Trans community & fight for Trans rights. #blac...klivesmatter #blacktranslivesmatter . . Repost from @olivia.s.jensen Take which normal you need.
Repost from @thedisabledhippie HAPPY DISABILITY PRIDE MONTH! _ I’m here, I’m queer, and I’m disabled ... _ Disabled people: _ Don’t have equal marriage rights. We risk losing our disability income/life saving medical insurance. _ Fought for decades for things like the ADA and reasonable accommodations in the workplace/education setting and we STILL fight tooth and nail for these and are lucky if we get them. We regularly must adapt in a world not built for us. _ Are legally allowed to be paid LESS than minimum wage if they can’t perform a job as well as an able bodied person. Goodwill has been known to do this. _ Come in all ages, shapes, sizes, colors, sexualities, and genders. Disability does not discriminate. Disability includes a wide spectrum such as invisible, visible, physical, mental, and chronic illnesses/conditions. _ Don’t need your pity, apologies, or medical advice. We need your allyship, work, and support. _ Support us. Love us. Fight for us. We are often excluded or merely an afterthought. Include us in your advocacy spaces, media, fashion, business, and politics. _ P.S. that’s the disability pride flag! It was created by Ann Magill (see my story for more info). See more
