2017 Crossfit Open The time has come and you are ready...even if you don't feel like it! We will be hosting the 2017 CrossFit Open beginning this Saturday February 25th at 4pm. If you would like to participate come ready to do 17.1 which was announced earlier today. If you haven't registered, you can do so at www.games.crossfit.com. There was some confusion earlier in the week with our affiliate. There's a process for transferring affiliate ownership which has caused Cross...Fit Whittier to not appear as an active affiliate. This is being handled and should be resolved shortly. For now we would ask all of you to please register under Project Crossfit. Never done the Open? Don't worry, we all started somewhere and we don't take ourselves too seriously. Sign up, have fun and work hard, that's all we ask. We hope to see all of you on Saturday afternoon. We will be there until 7:00pm (ish) to record your scores. If you have any questions, ask your coaches.

New Location: 12217 Philadelphia St. Whittier Hi Athletes, It's been an incredibly hectic and dynamic end of 2016. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and are already thinking about your New Year Resolutions. As many of you know, we have been working hard to purchase CrossFit Whittier and we are happy to announce that we completed that purchase last Friday. With that, we will be merging Project CrossFit and CrossFit Whittier into one community. ... What does this mean for you? The most significant improvement is the new facility. We will be moving to a much larger facility at 5,000 square feet with more equipment. This means we will have a greater variety of movements and workouts. Another significant improvement is of course, a larger community. Our larger fitness family will double with our new CrossFit Whittier athletes. This should make for a lot more fun times at the gym and an opportunity for more friends, events and support. Expectations: What we expect from our athletes are the same things we always expect: a great attitude and friendly exchanges. Please reach out to the people you don't know and be the great people you always are. Class schedule: Tomorrow, Tuesday we will be closed as we take to time to introduce ourselves to the CFW crew. But Wednesday we expect all of you to be at the gym ready to work. Same time(s), same place! REGULAR SCHEDULE ALL NEXT WEEK! Our goal for this weekend was to make sure we didn't disrupt everyone's workout schedule and I am so happy to announce that we accomplished that goal. Next week all schedules and location will remain the same. We will NOT have any changes. Tomorrow and all next week we will be open and working out. Further, we expect all of you to be there to work off those extra sneaky calories that tend to show up during the holid...ays. Saturday, Dec 24th we will be having a special Christmas Eve WOD which will be at an outdoor location. We will receive confirmation tomorrow but plan on getting one extra killer WOD before you start your festivities. AGAIN, all classes and schedules will remain the same all week.

Christmas Party OMG! It's that time of the year and we couldn't be more excited. Let's party tonight at 6:30pm for our big Christmas Party. Come ready to eat some tamales, drink some champurado and get LIT! (Just kidding, don't get lit please). Bring the kids, your significant other, dogs and friends. As for now, we will be closed from Monday to Thursday although we are hoping to not have any downtime. We will also have some outdoor workouts planned and will be sending those notifications no later than Sunday Night. I hope to see all of you at my house tonight, we are very much looking forward to our party.
