It might not all get built at once - dependent on fundraising. The more we raise the more we build. BUILD: If approved, would be built in March led by @tufflibuilt open early April. It can’t all be concrete, this is a ‘temporary’ park, while the town looks into a more permanent spot. That will probably take at least a few years to find a spot and raise the bigger budget needed for a concrete park. The skate parks in Marin have been one bright spot during Covid, busier than ever and providing a much needed sense of normalcy for a lot of kids. Let’s get one more!

Last day for outdoor seating in the Beer Garden this year, and we scored a warm one! Tomorrow we shift back to To-Go only, same hours 11:30-9pm everyday per County Health Dept. requirements. Retail stores are all staying open as is. Online ordering will be turned back on at www.hookfishco.com. Same amazing 40-tap drink list will be available as well, with an expanded bottle list. We’re psyched to support the initial launch and be apart of the local roll-out of programming. Word is hundreds of donated bikes have already being pledged by the big guys. To us, cycling is the ultimate freedom. We meet our best friends on our bikes, it removes barriers, opens hearts, and takes us pl...aces we never thought we could go. But we recognize that there are barriers to getting into the outdoors. Certain equipment can be cost-prohibitive which can make this sport exclusionary. But, we heartily believe that cycling is an experience that should not be reserved for only a few. We want to encourage those looking to get into the sport to not be dissuaded by any obstacles. So, we've put together a few pages of resources that includes used bike shops, earn-a-bike programs, and other cycling clubs in the Bay Area that help EVERYONE get outside. We are kicking off an initiative "Race to End Racism" that will be a series of fundraisers and inclusive outdoor group activities in Northern California. To start, we have designed a hoodie, bike kit, hat, socks, and a few other special items and will donate 100% of proceeds to three organizations:. 1) Cycles of Change a nonprofit community bike shop in West Oakland that provides affordable bikes and after school bike clubs to the youth that need it most. 2) Trips for Kids, a national organization that brings kids from all walks of life into the outdoors on bikes. 3) Waterside Workshops, an organization in Berkeley that offers internships, classes, job training and recreational opportunities for low income youth through their bike shop. We've asked local outdoor shops, brands, and athletes, to join us to commit to providing ongoing directives that foster accessibility and representation in the outdoor community. Together we are excited to provide these directives to continue to grow these sports in a way that is inclusive to all. We hope you will join us.

A MOVEMENT NOT A MOMENT // This week was an inspiring show of solidarity full of peaceful protests, paddle outs, and collective reflection/education on the urgency of the racial justice crises, for both our local community and the surf/skate/outdoor industry at large. Now comes the hard part. . It’s commonly accepted by so many that we all need to do as much as we can to reduce our impact on the environment. Less environment impact is synonymous with better, and many of ou...r brands have reoriented their entire designs, marketing and supply chains around this idea. All our brands have an eco product line of some sort. Most also accept that fighting the environmental crises will be a lifelong battle, that we’re just starting and have so much more to learn and do before we can claim any sort of success. Our commitment is to hold racial equity issues to the same standards within our company and community. . For starters we’ll be doubling down on our efforts supporting Marin City youth though @play.marin while also working with all of our brands on a variety of projects to support racial justice issues at large.
