Perfect Harmony Taiko Store

Busy making bachi of all sizes, and a few shumoku too. I will be supplying members of Tatsumaki Taiko with their own collection of bachi. Sharing equipment is out in the times of COVID-19.

Finished shimedaiko. It was a hand workout roping this up, but it sounds great :)

My first time at making shimedaiko heads solo. I am pretty happy with the results and learned enough ways to used clamps and jigs that I don't mind making more by myself. Although it is a work out for your fingers :)

Spending my quarantine time making shime taiko heads. In the past I would have had some help, an extra pair of hands really makes the stretch and stitch go faster. But I managed to come up with some creative ways to use jigs and clamps, and pretty happy with the results. The stitching pattern is a copy of a shime that I purchased from Kawada Taiko. Can't wait to play them :)

Working out the kinks in a design for a multiple Atarigane rack. This fits on top of a shimedaiko stand. You can play the "kane" with drumsticks, and get the advantage of different pitches. Four times the fun :)
