Patriots Honor wanted to take this moment to send out a special THANKS to Rich Holdaway and his company R&D Building Solutions Inc. Rich has stepped up to help out an injured veteran Brian Jergens and his family by completing the construction project on his house after several contractors failed Brian and his family. Brian served in the Army and was critically injured by an IED eight months into his first deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Brian spent the ...next several years recovering from his severe TBI and learning how to walk again on his prosthetic legs. After enduring various surgeries over the years, Brian is as fit as ever and loves spending time outdoors chasing his children. Patriots Honor reached out to R&D Building Solutions Inc and after an awesome discussion with owner Rich Holdaway, we learned just how much he gives back to his community and country. Rich tried twice to serve but unfortunately was not able to signup but that didn’t stop Rich from serving in other ways. Rich volunteers on his own time for his county’s search and rescue, Hollister Rotary as Community Service Chairman, Chamber of Commerce, Assistant Scout Master in two troops here in Hollister, like that wasn’t enough he served as Eagle Project Manager and Mentor to over 20 scouts with the Eagles Nest. Rich received Eagle Scout in 1996, he also donated time and materials to Chamberlains Youth Services who shelter and school troubled and abused children, served as Co-Captain in a charity group called Bearded Villains in the CenCal Chapter, and wouldn’t stop at anything to help anyone who served this God Blessed country. I can’t stop bragging about this guy, his family and crew, its truly an honor and our privilege to know someone with this kind of drive to serve his community and country. Everything you’ve done in the past and present is greatly appreciated! Rich’s information is below if you have any questions. Rich Holdaway Owner/CEO [email protected] www.rdbuildnow.com

This past weekend Patriots Honor, alongside Equine Assisted Coaching helped and worked with Gustavo Zarate to help him overcome obstacles that he faces everyday though engaging with horses. Breakthroughs occur more easily and organically than traditional coaching methods as horses do not judge peopleand they have no agenda. Winston Churchill said, There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man. He knew something about the equine spec...ies that many are just beginning to learn. Horses operate the way a mirror does, reflecting back everything we need to see about ourselves, areas of pain, happiness, anger and love. Horses are very present beings, meaning that they do not focus on the past or the future, but live in the moment. Just being in the presence of a horse is healing for most people. Our communication with horses comes from the heart not the head, which allows them to understand our energy in a way that supports growth, connection, and authenticity. If our inside and outside do not match then the horse intuitively feels this and responds appropriately, which allows us the opportunity to receive feedback in a safe and non-threating way. This type of feedback transforms the human heart and spirit.

Patriots Honor is committed to honoring our military veterans; those who are still with us and those who have passed. We were recently informed by WVTM 13’s Rick Karle & Brooke O’Briant about the passing of WWII Army veteran Mr. Nathaniel Hudson of Northport, Alabama on April, 14th 2020. For those of you who feel inclined to join us in helping cover Mr. Hudson’s funeral expenses, please click on the GoFundMe link below. Thank you sir for your service to our great nation and we pray you find peace in heaven. God bless you and all who answer the call to serve in our armed forces.

Unfortunate news from our friends at the Wounded Veteran Run

Patriots Honor 11.08.2020

From everyone at Patriots Honor we wish you health & happiness. We have some unprecedented and interesting days ahead of us, but we will get through this together and come out stronger We hope and pray everyone is doing their part to stop the spread of this virus. To that end; we have decided to indefinitely delay our Napa tournament. Once our Nation regains a sense of normalcy we’ll get back to doing what we love; which is hosting golf tournaments to raise $$ to help our nation’s heroes!

Patriots Honor would like to recognize a very important Air Force Veteran and highly decorated Airman, Douglas J. Durning, receiving honors for excellence, commitment, devotion to duty and serving our great nation faithfully and honorably. He was dedicated to two passions in his life, Family and Aviation. Doug was a staunch advocate of Injured Veterans, and Giving Back to Those Who Gave. His assistance was vital during the creation and development of the Patriots Honor Orga...nization in 2013. Doug will always be remembered for his sense of pride and devotion to his family, friends, his love for flying and the quiet sacrifices he provided to many. Doug was an extraordinary Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and sincere Friend to all who knew him. Doug, a Veteran and an American Aviator inspired so many and his legacy continues on through our Douglas J. Durning Veteran Memorial Scholarship. We, Patriots Honor Co-Founders, Board and Staff Members and combat injured service members around the world truly miss our brother. Rest In Peace my friend and God bless you.
