Family. Farming from gen 1 to gen 2. This years marks the end (at least for now) of the Dierk’s family farm. Many of our customers have been supporting us for over 40 years and I can’t express what that means to us all. Continued operations of the farm are under discussion, but Blake and Sierra are moving on for now. Although this year was cut short because of Covid, this choice has been long in the making. So much emotion, thoughts, tears, gratitude, fear, love has gone into this decision... really beyond words (and also I’ve been writing enough to fill a small book) For now thank you #familyfarm #organicfarming #smallscaleagriculture #smallscalefarming #eatlocal #buylocal #supportsmallbusiness #supportsmallfarms #thankyou #family

Just picked some lunch from the ground, pretty happy about it. It’s always a good day when you have healthy food and clean air and water... Will it last? Pretty worried our current president doesn’t believe in science or climate change, when the country is burning, in drought and or getting hit by massive storms. But let’s have a good lunch (maybe breakfast) and get ready to exercise our voting power

Just wanted to say we love you! to our customers, our farm crew, and to all those around us weathering through the challenging times. Blake is behind the camera and I don’t have many pictures of our crew this year, but I can’t express the amazing work they have done while Blake has been working a second job, and I have been raising our sweet girl, managing the books and going back to school. While many are out of work we have been juggling and balancing several jobs. We miss... being at the farmer’s markets and seeing your faces, it’s one of our favorite parts of this job. The weeds are thick, everyone is tired and the baby is driving the tractor. I’m dreaming of, while also deeply mourning, the end to this short season. #sendinglove #sendinggratitude #sendinghope #prayingforbluesky #manifestingabetterworld
