**PSA** Palmdale Station has recieved an increase in phone calls related to phishing scams. Please be mindful not to give out any personal information to anyone... over the phone or online! Palmdale Station has also become aware of a particular phishing scam where individuals are calling citizens posing as the "water company." These scammers are falsely warning citizens of contaminated water and telling them entry needs to be made into their residents to check the water purity from their faucets. The scammers are following up with questions pertaining to who lives at the residence, if a man is present in the home, and if he will be present when the "water company" comes to check the water purity. This is a scam! And potentionally a very dangerous one. Please do not give out your personal information. If you have a question regarding the legitimacy of a phone call you receive, contact your local utilities company.
