Before you go to bed tonight, set all your manual clocks back one hour. On Sunday, November 1, at 2 am, daylight saving time ends. So be sure and "Fall Back" one hour - which means an extra hour of sleep!

POOLS ARE OPENING! All of our beautiful City pools are set to open this Friday, June 26 we are excited to welcome residents back! This includes opening of our newest pool at Courson Park. Meta Housing provided funding to construct the new pool for residents as part of the Courson Arts Colony project. It includes a 1,000 square foot splashpad on the pool deck, 8 pool lanes (up from 6 in the old pool), and the entire facility is beautifully designed. We can’t wait for you to ...visit us! To comply with governmental requirements and promote social distancing, pool program capacity and availability will be limited. As a result, our programs are limited to our most popular services that will accommodate as many residents as possible recreation swim, lap swim, new senior lap swim and group swim lessons. We are undergoing many operational changes for the health and safety of our guests and staff. A significant change we need residents to be aware of is that our pools are not available for drop-in use due to occupancy limits. This change affects our recreation swim, senior lap swim, and lap swim programs. Another key change is that we are no longer accepting cash based on State and local recommendations. This change affects our recreation swim program. Lap Swim (ages 14-64), new Senior Lap Swim (ages 65+ only), and Recreation Swim will begin this Friday, June 26, and we are accepting reservations now! Participants will need to purchase a membership and reserve their spot at the pool online, visit https://cityofpalmdale.org/177/Aquatics now for details. Session A Swim Lessons will begin Wednesday, July 1. Session A Swim Lessons will be viewable on Thursday, June 25, and registration will open at 7 pm on Friday June 26, online at www.PlayPalmdale.com. There are many new pool use requirements guests need to be aware of that are viewable online at https://cityofpalmdale.org/177/Aquatics. As residents register for swim lessons or purchase memberships to access Lap Swim, Senior Lap Swim and Recreation Swim, we will do our best to remind users of our new use requirements. New enhanced health and safety measures can be viewed at https://cityofpalmdale.org//Covid-Our-Commitment-Together-. New LA County Health requirements to use public pools can be viewed at https://cityofpalmdale.org//Covid-Pool-Facility-Sign-36x24. We’ve got good news, just in time for summer! Los Angeles County recently issued COVID-19 operational guidelines to open public pools and our lifeguards are now training. To comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing, pool program capacity and availability will be limited. As a result, we plan to offer our most popular services: swim lessons, open recreation swim and lap swim. Our lap swim program will be a little different this year. In connection ...with COVID-19 guidelines, we will provide exclusive swim time for those 65 and older. Additional program details will be announced very soon. Some changes you can expect this year include no drop-in access to programs. We will provide online methods for you to reserve your spot at one of our four beautiful pools. Additional information on enhanced health and safety measures, and operational changes for reopening our pools will be shared soon. We are also looking forward to debuting the community’s newest pool and splash pad at Courson Park! The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Courson Pool is tentatively scheduled for July 1 at 11 a.m. We look forward to welcoming you back! Follow us on Facebook @PalmdalePR and @PalmdaleAquatics.
