Antelopes on Parade - Artist Spotlight: Lori Antoinette Lori's earliest memories are drawing with her Mom, who was a wonderful painter, when she was about 3yrs ...old. She has always taken art or craft classes growing up and loved painting people and architecture in her youth. She earned a degree in Fine Art (abstract art) from the University of Maryland and is also certified in textile design. For a time she had a wearable art business and was co-owner of an art gallery in downtown Los Angeles. As part of her artistic journey, Lori started doing chalk art in Pasadena almost 30 years ago. Since retiring from a 30 year career in the airline industry, she has dedicated her time to developing her art career, which currently includes wall murals, public art, and portraiture. Lori is one of the participating artists of Antelopes on Parade, a collaborative initiative between The City of Palmdale’s public art program and the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH). Her antelope is currently in a window display at the Antelope Valley Art Gallery in Palmdale, located 38198 10th St. East. #PalmdaleCares #publicart #PalmdalePublicArt
