"In 2012, police arrested a student in Milledgeville, Georgia. The student was crying and flailing in the principal's office and was inconsolable. The student w...as charged with battery. The school was Creekside Elementary School. The student was a six-year-old girl in kindergarten." Let's ca...ll this day "A Walk in Our Shoes..." I want these educators to stop and pause to see that the level of socio emotional support, scaffolding of instruction to meet the needs of our students who are not only RSP but also ELs is a challenge that we embrace every day but one that only those of us who teach in these "struggling" districts can fully experience. Come join us for a day, a week, month and open your eyes and minds...For the sake of education in CA. See more
