Day 1 of our Sierra backpacking trip

After the activities I witnessed this weekend on Apache Canyon, I wanted to spread the word about the current status of our wonderful Los Padres National Forest... No open campfires, this means charcoal too. No shooting... Both of these were happening in our forest this past weekend, I had to put "dead-out" a campfire that others had not. Please respect our forest and the recreation opportunities that it provides. Oh, and watch out for rattlesnakes! Please share if you're so inclined.
