Ovation is like Neverland. Kids learn that Pixie dust is magic mixed with innovation, discipline, and the belief in the intangible. Our youngers have a special project they’re working on. If you see your child acting like a monkey at home- pay them a compliment. #workplay #actinglikeanimals #lovingit #happykids

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others? We are always reminded by the legend that is Martin Luther King, Jr. He too was once a child. He had big dreams and tremendous courage. Ovation will be teaching the kids today.

We are so proud of Ovation alumni @matthew Robledo and Regan Bobich. Check out their cover of Pentatonix Silent Night, all recorded remotely. A beautiful way to celebrate the Season. Nicely done.

When was the last time you worked on solfege? These little ones are starting to listen, match pitch, learn a new language, and create symbols with their hands simultaneously. #nolimits #trainingforlife #ohyeah #ovationkids

Here’s a throwback pic to remind us the importance of community... The kiddos aren’t able to do surprise hug attacks right now- but they are managing to be kids and keep their space. It has been eventful. After signing up for a monstrous internet bandwidth package, big screens, and small laptops for our hybrid program the internet and phone lines went down during Ovation classes . The ongoing fires left ash on the front desk and we’ve been conquering sound issues u...sing zoom. Like most nonprofits, we are challenged logistically and financially. Our super hero volunteers have made a hybrid program possible. Jen, Yuliya, Becca, Dina, Anastasia and Emma. We can never thank you enough. Don’t forget to show your appreciation to these rockin women. Onward and forward!

Hey there! It's been a while since we've seen our students. As we gear up for classes this fall, we are feeling a bit nostalgic. Here is a link to the 2017 Teen Apprenticeship Program show, "Wipeout" by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus. It's a totally teen beach musical! Have fun! https://vimeo.com/439354892/955b68e5af

While we continue to teach private lessons, our larger classes are wrapping up this week for the summer. It has been challenging, but we have kids and teens who have been logging on for months now. Ovation is the place to connect. #keepinitreal

Today, Ovation had its largest attendance day yet (on Zoom). While we are nostalgic with the school year coming to a close and preparing for summer- we want to make every second count. We inform the students about the past, and film clips help illustrate it. Many have had the gift of time to learn a new skill this season- but how many did? Discipline is hard to teach. Just in case you needed to feel the slap of humility- here is just one of the many film clips we’ve used to... teach and inspire. Stay well! https://youtu.be/266TsW1QWCE
