Spring Title 1 Parent Meeting Tuesday, May 25th 6:30-7:30PM by TEAMS Orchard Park School is designated as a Title 1 school with a school wide program. Under Title 1, twice a year the school needs to present its Title 1 program to the school community. This meeting will take place by virtual TEAMS meeting. Information regarding the school's 21/22 Academic Plan will be presented by PowerPoint.... The link and agenda for the Parent Meeting can be found in OPS News on our school website and on the School Calendar on the school website. Spanish translation will be provided.

In anticipation of the Governor lifting the COVID restriction on June 15th, we are excited to be planning our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony for our students. The letter below has information about the ceremony. The letter was emailed to all 8th Grade Parents through Aeries. It was sent to all 8th Grade students in Teams. It can be accessed through our school website as well.

OPS is proud to announce that Natalia Cortez (7th grader from Orchard Park School) is the winner of the MESA Launch Week -Tik Tok challenge contest. Middle/High school MESA students throughout the western states took part in a MESA Launch. One component of a week long series of MESA webinars and classes was the TIK TOK challenge... in which students were to make a pitch for a design to make life better for a member of your family. English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) Please join us for our first ELAC meeting for the 20/21 school year. The purpose of an ELAC is to build the capacity of parents/guardians of English Language Learners to assist in the education of their children. During the school year, ELAC has several responsibilities, including advising administration on the needs of English Learner at Orchard Park and providing input regarding programs and services for English Learners. Good morning, Our District's Technology Dept. has notified sites that districtwide we are investigating reports that many websites we commonly use are being blocked. At this time we are trying to determine the cause of the issue and will provide updates as soon as we get more information. Also, we received an advisory from Microsoft that: Users may intermittently experience an error when attempting to join scheduled meetings in Microsoft Teams. We are investigating this as well. Good evening Orchard Park families, Posted on our school website and school Facebook page is the nomination form for this year’s School Site Council. Orchard Park School is seeking candidates for 3 positions on our School Site Council for the 2020/2021 school years. The purpose of School Site Council is to guide the educational and financial direction of our school. Members are involved in developing the school’s academic plan, determining school expenditures, reviewing cur...riculum and staff development, and representing our parent community in a school wide setting. The commitment is a two-year term. We attempt to have parent representatives from a variety of grade levels. The council will meet regularly, at least five times during the school year. All Orchard Park parents are encouraged to submit their names for our ballot. If you are interested in placing your name on the ballot, please fill out the lower portion of the nomination form and return it to the school office by October 9, 2020. All parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends of OPS are encourage to support our students by joining PTO. The OPS-PTO advocates for our students and works to provide events, activities, and resources for our classrooms and school community. Orchard Park continues school lunch service every day from 10:00-12:00. The summer meal program has been extended. Any AUSD student 18 years old and younger can get a lunch. It is a drive-thru service at the multi-use room. Attendance is taken each day and each period in our middle school. Students are marked present based on attendance in class meetings and completion of assignments. If your student is able to log on but having trouble finding the class meetings, email your teacher: [email protected]. If your student has a sudden tech issue, please email the teacher or call the office and we will try to assist. Some common issues this week were students forgetting to put the student in their email when logging onto the computer (i.e. Student ID#@student.antiochschools.net), forgetting to use only their studentID # when logging in to mylocker, and keystroke errors when logging on.
